Directions to Hackhurst Farm
Bus: The 28 Regency bus runs between Brighton and Eastbourne via Lewes and stops near the top of Hackhurst Lane. Get off at the Swallow Business Park stop. From the bus stop walk along in the direction of the bus (going east) and Hackhurst Lane is the next road on your left. From here it takes about 8-10 minutes to walk to the farm: past some houses first, then an industrial estate, and then along the tree lined lane to a wooded area, at which point you will see our farm buildings on your right.
Train: The nearest train station is Polegate (London to Eastbourne line). Polegate has a taxi rank, or call 01323 847 847 to order in advance. The ride takes about 12 minutes (please guide them with the directions below) and costs about £20. Alternatively, take the 28 bus or a stagecoach bus(stop is on the High Street) to Lower Dicker and the Swallow Business Park stop. On arriving at your stop, you’ll need to cross over the A22 to the other bus stop and then follow the directions above to walk up to the farm.
Car: Sometimes the Sat Nav drops people too early, so please follow the below to be sure. Hackhurst Lane runs directly off the A22, but can be easily missed, so try coming off the A22 into Diamond Drive (Swallow Business Park). It’s the first turning on your left (if driving south) just after the sign for Lower Dicker. Follow this road up and around to the right and downhill into the industrial estate. After the SETyres place, turn left at the T-junction into Hackhurst Lane and then follow the lane out of the industrial estate, all the way up to the brow of the hill (tree-lined road all the way). The farm is on your right after a section of woodland. Drive into the farmyard and find a parking space.
