One-Day Grief Tending Gathering

Saturday 17 May 2025, 9.30am - 7pm

A grief tending gathering that honours the sacred space of sorrow and remembrance, both personal and shared. Drawing from the work of Francis Weller and other wisdom traditions, these gatherings are designed to be inclusive, respectful, and deeply compassionate. Each gathering honours the individual journey within the collective experience, creating a safe and sacred space for grief to be tended to with care.

This grief tending gathering will be facilitated by Rohan Narse who has apprenticed with Francis Weller and Sophy Banks, and by Selena King who is the Spiritual and Anticipatory Care Lead at St Catherine’s Hospice and has also been in grief tending spaces held by Sophy Banks. Both Selena and Rohan have been initiated into a sacred tradition in West Africa and participate in the ritualistic and ceremonial gatherings held by the elders of that community.
