Infrared Sauna

Our infrared sauna, crafted from sustainably sourced red cedar, emits far-infrared light at a wavelength of 6,340 nanometers. This aligns harmoniously with the natural rhythm of water in tissue cells, which ranges from 5,600 to 8,500 nanometers, making it an ideal therapeutic support. The lamps have certification showing ultra-low EMF and ELF levels, making them non-toxic and safe.

Infrared radiation does not produce tangible heat; instead, it emits infrared energy that penetrates tissues and sets cellular molecules in motion. This movement generates heat, both inside and outside of the body.

While you sit and relax, your body actively works to dissipate this heat: your heart rate increases, your muscles relax, and both internal and peripheral blood circulation are stimulated - similar to the effects of a half-hour walk.

Infrared sauna therapy provides a natural method for alleviating pain associated with chronic conditions (including muscle pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia and rheumatism) by enhancing blood circulation to the muscles and releasing endorphins that serve as natural analgesics. This therapy promotes cellular regeneration, strengthens the immune system and stimulates collagen production (a protein essential for maintaining skin elasticity and reducing the visibility of wrinkles, blemishes and pigmentation spots). Additionally, it is beneficial in the treatment of skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Furthermore, infrared sauna therapy is recognised for its potential benefits in supporting cardiovascular health.

In contrast to a traditional sauna, infrared rays warm the body without heating the surrounding air. Additionally, we have opted for a half-body design that keeps the head outside to minimise physiological stress whilst offering the same therapeutic benefits. The usual temperature is 55° to 60°C. For enhanced results, it is recommended to spend more time in the sauna rather than increasing the temperature.

At the end of your session, wipe off the sweat, wrap yourself in a towel and let your body rest until you have 'sweated out'–then enjoy a warm shower.
